After the Photo Shoot

Removed distracting pole in the background and wrapper on the ground

Slightly rotated, cropped and retouched

With a little bit of photoshop, it looks like it was a bright, beautiful day

Some of you have asked what kind of editing I do after the photos have all been taken. I thought I'd share some examples so you can get a better idea of what kind of post processing I do. The first image in the collages are all straight out of the camera (sooc) with no editing done whatsoever. Depending on the image, I edit out any distracting items, white balance, retouch skin, crop, saturate colors and sharpen. I also convert every image to black and white.

Sneak Peek for Mrs. P: {San Ramon Photographer}

Another bride blog post! I had the opportunity to showcase Cece Cole's awesome hair/makeup styling and I approached Mrs. P to see if she would do a bridal shoot. She is newly married (2 months) and lucky for me, she jumped at the chance to wear her gorgeous dress again. Don't you love her pumas? Judy- The camera LOVED you. I had such a hard time picking out my favorites!

Sneak Peek for SC: {San Ramon Maternity Photographer}

After rescheduling once due to rain, I met SC and her family at Baker Beach in San Francisco. No rain this time, but boy was it cold! It was really windy and I was freezing although I was all bundled up. SC was a rockstar - she didn't even complain about the cold and was up for anything I suggested. Wish I looked this good when I was 7 months pregnant!

Family Time {San Ramon Child Photographer}

Recognize him? He's my handsome model on all my marketing brochures and gift certificates. He's also my nephew!

This weekend was a packed celebration for Father's Day and K's 5th birthday. We combined both sides of the family and with 9 kids running around, it was a loud and fun event. I am so fortunate to have all of my family and my in laws nearby. The cousins (7 girls and 2 boys) have such a great time together and it reminds me of all the fun family gatherings I had growing up with my cousins. Here's a few shots of my nephews, L and A and my niece, L. Aren't they the cutest??

Sneak Peek for Lee Family {Bay Area Family Photographer}

Trying to kiss mom without laughing

Love E's effortless jump - she looks so joyful!

Love.

K is ready to be a model!

Love this family portrait. I need to photoshop your dog into this!

Such a cutie!

I am SO thrilled to share a sneak peek for the Lee Family (I just realized I've shot 5 Lee Families so far!) We've had to reschedule their family session multiple times due to various reasons and I am so happy that we were able to meet this past Saturday. I was warned that the weather in Mountain House was cold and windy but by the time I arrived for our evening session, the winds had calmed down and the weather was absolutely perfect. The kids were so easy to photograph - all 5 of them! I put them through a lot of running and jumping and there were no complaints! (at least I didn't hear any) :) B&C, I am so blessed by your support and friendship. Thank you for your prayers and constant encouragement. You have a beautiful family - C, I hope I was able to make your dream come true!

Happy Mother's Day

Baby #1: *A*

Baby #2: *K*

Baby #3: *E*
Don't laugh!! These are definitely not the most flattering pictures of me but I love them because they are the first pics I have with each of my children.  I was pretty heavily medicated with my first so I'm grateful for the pics I have to remind me of what happened! Do you remember holding your baby for the first time? Do you remember looking into your child's eyes for the first time? I remember. I also remember the non stop crying (from me and the babies!), the explosive poops, the painful nursing every 2 hours, the love/hate relationship with the breast pump. I also remember the cuddling, the first words, the giggling, baking together, and sweet bedtime prayers. I hope I never forget these things.  Thank you A, K, and E for challenging me everyday.
