My princesses

*K* lined up her pink accessories.

Love these heels.

*A* was pretending to sleep so her prince could come and wake her up. Unfortunately, it was just me she woke up to.

Love the elbow action here.

 *A* and *K* started playing dress up last night as I was doing the dishes. They rarely ever play dress up anymore so I was surprised to see how much fun they were having. It was so cute to see how imaginative they were being and of course, I had to stop what I was doing and go grab my camera. I made the mistake of calling *K* by her name and she insisted I call her "Princess Belle" all night. I tried to have *E* dress up and take a pic with her big sisters but she had such a big tantrum that I gave up. Yes, photographers have these moments too.

Sneak Peek for Lee Family {Dublin Family Photographer}

I had the pleasure of spending a fun Saturday afternoon with the Lee family. Although it was windy and chilly, we braved the outdoors (yes, I think I've mentioned a few times how wimpy I am with the cold) and headed out to the Shannon Community Center and Park in Dublin. We were confined to a few areas due to a wedding being held there but everyone was so flexible and easy going that we were still able to get some great shots. Like many families, the Lee family didn't have many pictures of all 4 of them together. We focused on a lot of group shots as I think it is really important to have a good family portrait. I also had to embarrass A and D and get some couple pictures as they haven't had professional portraits since their wedding almost 10 years ago! Thank you Lee family for being such an inspiration to everyone - including me!

Sneak Peek for So Family {Fremont, San Ramon Dol Photographer}

I photographed Little *R's* first birthday party/ dol at their house last weekend. It was a very intimate get together and *R* seriously looked like a royalty in his hanbok. I was so happy when there was a break in the rain and we were able to head outside for some shots. Happy 1st birthday *R*!

Mother's Day Mini Sessions

I've heard from a lot of moms that they don't have many photos of themselves with their kids. They are the ones who are always behind the camera! Moms, here's your chance to celebrate your relationship with your children, your own mom, or both!

Mini Sessions Include:
20-30 minute session
10-15 images in a private online gallery
1 8x10 print
16 wallets
$175

As long as the weather cooperates (rain, rain go away!), the sessions will be held at an outdoor location. Email me for more details.

Happy Birthday Middle C! {Pleasanton Birthday Photographer}

Table all set for the princesses

Look at this cake!! All the girls were in awe. Seriously - it's prettier than my wedding cake.

About to blow out her candles - so special!

Every princess needs an armoire filled with dresses.

 I had to include this picture of Big C.  Isn't she beautiful???

A princess party - what more can a 5 year old ask for? Actually, at the party all the princesses went around saying what they would wish for if they had one wish. Birthday girl's one wish in the whole world was to have a dog - C and B - will the next family portrait include a furry four legged animal?

My Star of the Week

My little poser - can you tell she already loves jewelry?

Running down the little hill
Staring at a little roly poly - love those little hands!

A beautiful flower we spotted during our walk

My *K* just received extremely important news. She found out that her turn to be "Star of the Week" at school was coming up! She has been waiting for this since the first day of school. She has been begging me to help fill out her poster which will help her classmates learn all about *K's* favorite things. There's also a spot to include a picture of herself and *K* kept asking me to take a new picture of her to add to her special poster. Of course, my little diva needs an updated headshot.

Laundry treasures

As a mom of 3 girls, I do laundry A LOT. I'm not good about checking each and every pocket before I put the clothes in the washing machine and I've ended up washing endless amounts of tissue, tanbark, and even my husband's wallet (surprisingly all the bills came out squeaky clean without a tear!). This week, I've been finding little trinkets at the bottom of the washing machine every time I did the laundry. I knew instantly that these must be K's as she has repeatedly told me that she "loves jewels and anything sparkly." I've been setting them aside and today I realized that I have a nice little collection. As soon as I brought them downstairs to photograph, my little K screamed, "those are mine! I put them in my pocket!" She let me take a picture and then proceeded to glue and tape each piece together. Being 4 and finding such great joy in the little things is precious. I hope we can all take the time to find a bit of happiness in the small details around us.

Edited to add: Ok, my husband read this and laughed hysterically at how corny I was being but it's true! Seriously- shouldn't we all take the time to appreciate the small stuff? ok, now he's really going to gag.
