You've asked and now you have received. I've compiled all those questions you've been asking and have put together a FAQ page on the main site. If there's anything I've left out, you know how to reach me! More updates to site coming soon. Hope you are enjoying the last few days of 2008.

Merry Christmas 2008

To our dear friends & family,
We hope this holiday greeting finds you healthy & happy this holiday season.  This year, we decided to do our part of "going green" by sending a slideshow video of our 2 daughters in lieu of a traditional card to share with you (we're saving trees and money!).  Audrey is 4 (going on 15) and enjoying pre-K.  She is incredibly fashion orientated (going through 2-3 outfit changes a day) and artsy.  Kaylee is 2 1/2 and fills our house with laughter.  We know she will be the class clown - must take after her father!  The two of them together create a mighty energetic force!

We feel blessed that each and every one of you is in our lives.  Thank you for all your support and encouragement throughout the year.  Have a very merry Christmas!

With love,
* The Moon Clan *

New prices, new packages, new deals

Another (friendly) reminder that all prices will go up in Jan. 2009. For my faithful blog readers (and anyone you refer), you will be given the 2008 rates if you reserve a portrait session by Dec. 31, 2008. The session must be used by Feb. 28, 2009.

Also, once I have some breathing room, I'll be updating the main site with new portrait packages and recent pictures. Special deals will be posted on the blog only so be sure to check both sites often!

Thanks everyone for your continued support of JMP!

Sneak peek for the Lee family

The Lee family returned for Baby C's 100 day portraits. Even though I just saw her a month ago, she looked so much bigger! Only 100 days old, but she let me know (loud and clear) that she didn't like sitting and that she'd rather take pictures outside. :)

Sneak peek for the Chua family

Today was a busy busy day starting out with an early morning session with my good friends. I've known them for about 8 years now and I've had the privilege of seeing them get married and have 2 adorable daughters. They are such a fun family and I couldn't get enough of Little J saying "Boogers!" and laughing her head off.

Sneak peek for the Lai/Yang family

I love that I get to go and play in the park as my job! Ok, I don't really get to play but I get to capture the joy in children's faces as they're playing. Today I went out with 2 little cuties and I was reminded once again of all the little things that matter - the wind blowing through your hair as you swing, the rush of coming down a steep slide, and of course seeing a little boy holding his baby sister. :)

Sneak peek for the Chans

We spent a cold, cold afternoon at the park yesterday. The chill didn't stop Little L from running around everywhere. She explored every inch of the park, even tasting the gravel, sand and leaves! Here's a sneak peek from the session.

Let the Holidays Begin!

Yesterday, my friends and I continued our tradition of having our picture taken with Santa at the mall. Yes, I know it's cheesy but we've done it for the past 7 years now so it's my official start of the Holiday season. I love looking at each of the pics and seeing how our lives have progressed. When we started, we were just 3 married friends with no kids. Now, there are 5 kids total and a lot of memories. The talk has changed from gossiping about work life to chatting about tantrums and politics. M & C, I think we're maturing! Or maybe not since we still sit on Santa's lap.

If only they could stay little

Can you believe how fast kids grow and change? I always get nostalgic when I look back at my daughters' pictures. I'm sure they think that I'm the crazy mom who always has a camera in their faces, but I'm afraid my memory will fade and I don't want to lose all those beautiful memories. Plus, it's always good to have embarrassing photos to share with their friends as they get older. :)
Above is Baby L who also happens to be my nephew! Look at how much he's changed in 3 months!

I can see clearly now...

See what photo restoration can do? Over the past 3o+ years, the photos on the left have faded and lost their true colors.  Ok, I just started writing and I've already referred to 2 songs. If you have no idea what I'm referring to, ignore me - it's 1am. If you have old or damaged photos you want to restore, contact me for individual pricing. Thanks!

New Product!

JMP is now offering slideshow montages of all the portraits from your session.  The web quality version is included with your portrait session.  A high res DVD can be purchased for only $50. This is all thanks to my techy husband!

My 2 Models

I usually have to bribe my girls into letting me take photos of them. Who knew that a little 2 year old could negotiate skittles for pictures! For some strange reason, both my girls were posing it up when we went to my nephew's red egg & ginger party. Here are a couple portraits of them showing you their best diva like pose.

Playdate at the park

What a difference a week makes. We had originally scheduled a session last week but got rained out and today the temp hit 80 degrees!
Little E was so calm and cooperative - her mom brought her favorite toys to make her comfortable for the photo shoot and she never even needed them. We had a great time walking around Central Park and playing in the sand. Now I know never to wear Crocs when you're shooting pics at a playground. I dumped out enough sand from my shoes to make a sandcastle!

I love California Weather

I had a mini portrait session with my SIL, BIL and their kids in Emeryville today. The weather was in the high 70's and we had to take advantage of this awesome November day. Here's a sneak peek of the session. Can't wait for our full session in a couple weeks!

Little K

Doesn't Little K look like a model? She has the most gorgeous big brown eyes & she was a natural at posing for the camera. She loved running around with her mom's red umbrella which made for some great shots! I could take photos of her all day...

Baby C

I had so much fun taking portraits for Baby C and her family. She is so blessed to have 2 older sisters who adore her.  At only 2 months old, she was already moving around a lot! I was afraid she was going to roll off the baby poser!
Although it was pouring rain outside, the girls were full of sunshine with warm smiles on their faces. A big Thank You to the Lee's for letting me capture their beautiful family.

Princess Kiki

A hot pink princess dress transformed an otherwise dreary day into an extraordinary playtime. I love these moments!

My little ham

Here's my little Kiki hamming it up for the camera. She absolutely loves her pink Pottery Barn blanket (thanks gomo!) and you can see how much joy it brings her. Don't ask me why she doesn't have pants on. I have no idea.

Welcome!

I've finally jumped on the bandwagon and created a blog for Janet Moon Photography. I'm sure I'll be rambling a lot about random things as well but I will try not to bore you too much. Thanks for visiting!
